By now you should all be used to the work of my wonderful friend Deanna. I've posted a few of her poems before and they were exquisite. Here we are with yet another wonderfully worded instalment. This one is called "Elmo's World" don't let the title fool you however, there's no kiddie stuff here. Before I go telling the whole poem out to you however I'll let you enjoy it for yourself. I give you, Elmo's World.
I am frankly getting really tired of people telling me to "get a job". Sick and tired of it in fact. I've said it already but I will say it again, jobs don't just appear out of the blue, they don't grow on trees where I can just go and pick one when I feel like it. Now apparently certain people are of the belief that I just sit down all day everyday content with the fact that I'm not working. In truth and in fact that is very far from the truth. First off as I've said in a previous post, my living arrangements are peculiar to say the least. So at the moment my space is no longer my own I have been forced to share. Next thing I don't have my own money to use as I please right now. Why? Because would you look at that I'm not working! I can't buy all the things I need out of money which isn't mine.
We all have seen out fair share of police brutality and corruption. If we havent seen it first hand we have most definitely heard about it through some medium or another. This poem speaks about a corrupt cop and just how far he goes to get his way. Written by Britton Wright, I give you "Di Law".
Every morning I wake up and do the same thing. I look in the mirror, inspect my features and wonder. Why was I put in this body? Why was I given this skin? Is it a blessing or is it a curse? Is it a badge of honour or a badge of shame?
Hello one and all, back again with yet another poem. Now this one I'm still in all rights slightly confused about. Why??? Simply because the person who wrote it decided to go all psychological on me when he was sending this. You know the whole ID thing in psychology?? He was like Anon ID and such. Anyway here is his poem enjoy lol.
Let us have a moment of silence...OK enough of that. So I'm supposing you all are wondering when the blog awards will be kept. Or maybe you don't really care, but for the sake of my mental health lets say you are. The awards were held yesterday night the 19th day in the first month of the year 2013 at the South Beach Cafe in Kingston. Now since we are on the subject of South Beach Cafe I would like to say a few words. The venue was for the most part lacking. Maybe its just me but I don't think they were as prepared as they could have been to accommodate even the few who were in attendance. Seating was severely limited and thus more than half the attendees had to stand. As for the open air setting it was a nice spin on things but suppose rain had decided to follow me all the way from Mandeville, what then? No tents or any kind of covering was on hand as far as I could tell. Like I said though, maybe its just me. Who knows?
Welcome again readers today I have yet another bit of poetry to sooth your mental cavity. This one come from yet another person who has been featured here before. Her name is Kaimoi. The poem today is entitled Wordsmiths and it is to me very simple and yet at the same time pretty powerful in the message it delivers. So sit back and give this one a good read and as usual, Enjoy.
Taking all Jamaicans back down "memry" lane we have Britton Wright again with another piece. The poem this time is entitled "Ol' Time Jamaica" and we are again greeted with the true raw patois which we all know and love. I have to yet again apologize to my non-Jamaican readers as with the previous one. I leave you with the promise I made before once more, I shall [At a later date] try to give you a complete English translation so you can get a better understanding of what is being said. Until then as usual, enjoy!
So by now quite a bit of you should be wondering... "Why is he posting so many poems lately?" If you weren't then you probably are now. The answer is this: These poems you see me posting are awesome to say the least and I have a thing for poetry. Anyway you've seen her name before and you'll do good to remember it. She previously gave us
Mindfuck with a touch of
Pleasure. This time around we can only Fantasize about the things she wants to do. I give you "Fantasize" by
Deanna Corrodus everybody!
Hello once again to those who stick with my blog, today I have yet another Guest Post for you all. In the previous ones posted there was one thing they all had in common... They were all written by females, today however we have a Poem written by a male in the raw patois Jamaicans know and love. His name is
Britton Wright and I assure you, you definitely want to give this a read. To all my non Jamaican readers and followers I apologize in advance for your lack of understanding in this post when it arises. I will try to add the Standard English Translations to this at a later date. Until then enjoy the poem.
Ok so as you all know by now my farts leave a really weird smell in your heads after reading, this may or may not be any different. The topic this time is one which humans to this day cannot seem to conquer... Time. So a good while back if any of you care to remember I made a post entitled the
Grandfather Paradox. Now in the beginning of that post you saw the following paragraph
Time travel is impossible as exemplified by the famous grandfather paradox. Imagine you build a time machine. It is possible for you to travel back in time, meet your grandfather before he produces any children (i.e. your father/mother) and kill him. Thus, you would not have been born and the time machine would not have been built, a paradox.
Since the last Tuesday in December 2012 I have been attending what is referred to as "Open Mic" held at the OMG Restaurant located in Mandeville. It is during this time that I have been inspired to pick up writing poetry yet again and inspired I was. It is intended to be a spoken word so the flow of it may be difficult for most of you to understand but the meaning should be no less easier to understand. So enjoy this my first poem in ages!!!
So here we are yet again with another poem by another friend of mine named Jodi. Everyone who knows her call her by her nickname which is Twyg. Now that name has a meaning but I'll leave that up to her to tell you if she sees it fit to do so. Anyway as I said this poem was written by Twyg. After reading it you will most certainly understand her a bit and what makes her ... "tick" so to speak. So without further ado and what not here is "Forbidden Desire"
So apparently I'm so hardcore that I was tagged in the
original post made by
Nas. This is the Jamaican Tag. What is it? Read and find out silly.
A Blogger Tag is a game (so to speak) where Bloggers of all niches endeavour to form links, possibly discover new information and new Bloggers and have fun while doing so. It starts with one blogger (in this case, me) who chooses the topic of the Tag and then gives a list of questions or one general question which is wide enough to have its answer broken down into list form. After the first blogger answers said question(s), he or she will “tag” other Bloggers to continue the tag.
Most if not all of you reading this may or may not have gone through some relationship difficulties which have inadvertently led to a separation. Whether it be Lying, Dying Flame, Cheating, the list goes on. The question therefore is "How do you cope?" How do you let go and move on after you have given so many days (1 Week Wonders) or years of your life to someone? That readers, is what we shall be looking into this time around. The Break Up.
Welcome again one and all to yet another poetry post. You may or may not see an increase in the number of poems posted in a few weeks or months... Who know? Moving on, this is yet another Guest Posted poem by a wonderful person by the name of Deanna. Her writing always leaves you drop jawed or is that just me??? In any case here is the latest one that I have heard from her entitled "Mindfuck". Do enjoy :)

So I had been on tumblr one fine night some months ago when the whole Zombie Apocalypse thing was the craze. One of my friends made a few posts about how to survive said disaster. So I saved the posts in drafts and just now decided to put them all together in one master post. He however seemed to have cleaned out every post on his blog so I had to do a little searching so to speak. So here it is with my own little spin on it.
Hey there readers, this post is for the young long distance lovers scattered across the earth and throughout the cosmos... Well maybe not the cosmos but definitely across the planet earth. I'm sure quite a few of you who are reading this have at some point gone through one of these kinds of relationships or had a friend or relative entwined in one. How did it work out for them??? Do you think you would ever resort to being in one? Well what are we waiting for? Lets find out then.
