One Love: Jamaican Blogger Tag

So apparently I'm so hardcore that I was tagged in the original post made by Nas. This is the Jamaican Tag. What is it? Read and find out silly.
A Blogger Tag is a game (so to speak) where Bloggers of all niches endeavour to form links, possibly discover new information and new Bloggers and have fun while doing so. It starts with one blogger (in this case, me) who chooses the topic of the Tag and then gives a list of questions or one general question which is wide enough to have its answer broken down into list form. After the first blogger answers said question(s), he or she will “tag” other Bloggers to continue the tag.

The rules for this tag:

· Title your post “One Love: Jamaican Blogger Tag”
· Link back to the blogger who tagged you ( you may add a brief definition of what a tag is if you for the benefit of your readers)
· Copy and paste the rules at the beginning of your tag.
· Copy and paste the questions as well so readers know what’s going on.
· Answer the questions (No duh! J)
· Tag seven other (untagged) Jamaican Bloggers to continue the trend. Kinda forces you to make friends, no?

The questions are as follows:

1) Why did you give your blog its name? (If it is named directly after you, try and make your answer interesting. eg: Did you feel nervous at all about putting your name out there? Did you just lack creativity at the time?)
2) Why did you start blogging and why do you blog now?
3) Do you think being Jamaican influences your blogging style?
4) What do you think about the increase in Bloggers in Jamaica?
5) What is your favourite thing about being Jamaican?
6) Ackee and salt-fish or “ (mackerel) run down”?
7) Stew peas or stew chicken?
8) Tastee Patties, Juici Beef Patties or Mother’s?
9) Pantucky or KFC?
10) What do you hope to be the future of blogging in Jamaica?

My answers:

1)      So why was my blog named the way it is? Introvert Mind came about due to the simple fact that I am/was for the most part an introverted fellow. I enjoy solitude. Mind obviously has to do with.. my Mind... yeah. So Introvert Mind. theincompleteid10t is a different matter. When I started out I had no idead what the purpose of blogging was or how TO blog. So I felt kinda stupid about it. After a while I sorta started getting the hang of it and didnt feel as stupid anymore. Nigga I was PRO!!! [Not Really] Thus I was not completely stupid and TheIncompleteid10t was born. By the way Id10t was an actual computer error for those of you who may be wondering. Its also how you say idiot in Leet Speak. Look it up (Y)

2) Why did I start blogging? I believe I have answered this question before. Its hidden in some of my older posts. Alas some of you have never ventured deep into the depths of my archive and so have not seen the horrors which lay hidden. So I shall enlighten you. I started blogging because of my tiny friend MszRockstar. Now mind you she may be tiny but her presence overwhelms, nuff said. So yeah, she was basically my inspiration to start. Heck she HELPED me start. Told me all the ins and outs [not all but yeah] and all that jazz. She's good peoples.
On the matter of why I continue blogging, I do it because it's fun to do. I maybe, kinda, sorta think I like it. Plus its a means of expression. Expression does a body and mind good.

3) Does the fact that I'm Jamaican influence my blogging style? Yes and No. Why yes and no??? In some instances my posts are geared directly towards Jamaican readers so of course it would be directly influenced in that case because I have to interact with them. On the other hand there are times I post things totally unrelated to Jamaica and there is not really any Jamaican flavour to be found in it. So you could say im influenced Just Right.

4) Yes there have been a numerous amount of new blogs lately, most of which I wouldn't have found save for the Jamaica Blog Awards. However how I feel about them though. . . They aren't doing it for the right reasons. Some of them anyway. Simply put they blog not out of interest but out of wanting to be in the hype. Sorta like Instagram <.< Lets leave it at that.

5) Favourite thing about being Jamaican... wow... In all honesty I've never really thought about that. Sure there are many things that are great about being Jamaican but there are also a multitude of reasons why I hate it. However this is not the post for that. One thing I love is the diversity of our music and the fact that our culture is such that it draws people towards us. People want to interact with us because we ARE Jamaican. Everyone wants to BE Jamaican.

6) Ackee and Salt-fish or Mackerel Run Dung........ All the Jamaican readers might bomb rush me for this but alas I absolutely and without a doubt cannot stand Ackee. Alas there is a reason to my madness. You see I work in a certain way, If I eat something ONCE and I don't like it or it was cooked bad, I will never eat it again. Such is the case with Ackee, my first experience left much to be expected and thus I cannot face a plate of Ackee to this day. The salt-fish though, I love that. On to Mackerel Run Dung.... I've never had it so I'm not even sure if I like it or not. So to make a choice between the two Id have to say neither but if it was compulsory id have to lean towards the Run Dung on the fact that I haven't tasted it yet.

7) Stew Peas or Stew Chicken. There is NO choice right here. I loooove me some stew peas, but stew chicken is no laughing matter either. However it's easier for me to do stew peas and thus my vote lies there. Its a dish that can literally be made with any meat available. I've done a salt fish version which was absolutely divine!

8) Juici Beef, Mothers' or Tastees. Juici Beef Hands down. No explanation necessary.

9) Pantucky or KFC. First off if I hadnt read Nas' answers I would NOT have known what Pantucky is, now that I know.... Pantucky it is. Sure KFC is all good and dandy but you can find KFC in any country basically. Only a select few however have that authentic Pantucky. As a bit of information however, Did you know that our little country of Jamaica has the BEST tasting KFC??? I swear I'm not making this up. A survey was done some time ago [I forget when T^T ] and it's true. Believe it

10) What do I hope to see in the future in regards to Jamaicans and blogging on a whole?

       I like Nas' answer:
I hope we see an era in Jamaica where "blogger" can be an actual job and not just with regard to corporate or technology-based blogs. This means that the stigma attached to blogging would have to be removed. The narrow-minded views don't affect me but I know it's holding back so many and I would like to see it removed.

  3. Will do re: future tags :D I realize that's the hardest part. It was an experiment. Hopefully, it starts a trend of finding connections with other bloggers in a less forced way. Lol
